This 13-night expedition is a true "bucket list" journey to the Earth's final frontier, beginning with the passionate energy of Buenos Aires before descending to Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city. The heart of the adventure involves crossing the legendary Drake Passage aboard the G Adventures Expedition, a vessel designed to navigate the icy waters of the Southern Ocean.
Once you reach the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula, the landscape transforms into a surreal world of towering blue icebergs, massive glaciers, and snow-capped peaks. Guided by a team of expert naturalists, you'll leave the ship behind for daily Zodiac excursions, weaving through ice floes to land on remote beaches. Here, you'll stand among vast colonies of Gentoo and Adélie penguins, watch for leopard seals basking on ice, and scan the horizons for humpback whales breaching in the pristine, silent bays.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina
Direct flight from London Heathrow to Buenos Aires. Transfer to your hotel for a one-night stay.
Day 2
Buenos Aires & Fly to Ushuaia
Morning at leisure to explore Buenos Aires. Afternoon flight to Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city. Check into the Guesthouse at Graceland for one night.
Day 3
Board G Adventures Expedition
Transfer to the port and board the G Adventures Expedition. Set sail through the Beagle Channel toward the Drake Passage.
Day 4-5
Drake Passage
Cross the legendary Drake Passage. Attend onboard lectures from expert naturalists, scan for seabirds, and prepare for your Antarctic adventure.
Day 6-8
South Shetland Islands & Antarctic Peninsula
Three full days exploring the Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands. Daily Zodiac excursions to land on remote beaches, visit penguin colonies (Gentoo and Adélie), watch for leopard seals, humpback whales, and navigate through stunning ice formations.
Day 9-10
Drake Passage (Return)
Return crossing of the Drake Passage. Reflect on your expedition, attend final lectures, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow explorers.
Day 11
Disembark in Ushuaia & Buenos Aires
Disembark in Ushuaia and fly to Buenos Aires. Check into NH Collection Buenos Aires Centro Histórico for two nights.
Day 12
Buenos Aires at Leisure
Full day to explore Argentina's passionate capital. Optional tango show, steak dinner, or city sightseeing.
Day 13
Return Flight to UK
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to London Heathrow.
